In this tutorial video, we want to work with animation using Marvelous Designer and Maya software. The duration of this course is 90 minutes. Marvelous Designer is a great all-round cloth creation and simulation tool. You can use MD to build clothes for characters or draping fabric into 3D scenes. Marvelous Designer also has some physical forces that you can use to affect the cloth in the system. Watch Travis Davids’s short 16-minute tutorial that shows how to use MD’s Wind Controller to create a waving flag.

In the tutorial Davids shows how he uses wind to create dynamic drapery. If you are using more recent versions of MD, you have the opportunity to export the animation as an Alembic file cache so that you can import it into virtually any of your favorite DCC apps.
